The Felittese Association will hold their annual festival on September 6,7,8, 2013.
The festival begins Friday at 5:00pm with entertainment by Fuzzy Park beginning at 6. Saturday's entertainment will be provided by the Chixy-Dix from 6-10, and Sunday evening Sweet Pepper and the Long Hots will take the stage from 5-9.
Sunday, September 8, 2013 the Felittese Association will hold The 2nd Annual Race for Our Lady of Constantinople. Proceeds from the walk will benefit Boston Marathon victims, Our Lady of Constantinople Chapel, Prince of Peace Parish, and other local charities. This year’s course is a 5K race and fun walk that will begin with registration at 8:00AM at the Old Forge High School Football Field (301 First Street, Old Forge, PA). The price for all runners and walkers is $15.00 (in advance, or $20.00 race day) Please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to pre-register or have any questions. Awards will be given to the top runners and walkers in different age categories. (See registration form for more details.)
Sunday morning will also include the Mass for Our Lady of Constantinople at Prince of Peace Parish in Old Forge. After mass, join us in the procession through Main Street in Old Forge to the chapel at the festival grounds where Our Lady will remain for the duration of the festival. On Sunday, the festival will begin at noon and last until 10:00 PM.
This year's menu features delicious Italian ethnic foods including but not limited to: tripe, sofritto, gnocchi, meatball platters and sandwiches, porketta sandwiches, sausage and pepper sandwiches, portabella mushroom sandwiches, pasta fagiole and much more! Don't forget to save some room for the Italian pastries including cannolis, biscotti, cheesecake, cookies and the famous pizza fritta!
Menu items can even be packaged to take home!
After you enjoy the food please make a visit to the other vendors on the chapel grounds or sit and listen to some great music. We hope to see you there!
